Description

INDAGA is the first initiative aimed at building an industrial data space in Galicia — a decentralized, secure, and interoperable environment aligned with Gaia-X European standards. This platform will enable companies and organizations in key sectors — shipbuilding, agrifood, automotive, and UAVs — to share data reliably, driving collaboration, innovation, and operational efficiency.

One of the project’s pillar is its practical validation through use cases in the industrial sector, demonstrating the real applicability and value of the data space. These use cases show how secure and standardized data sharing can transform processes, optimize resources, and generate new business opportunities.

In addition, the use cases are essential to ensure that the data space not only meets technical and regulatory requirements but also delivers tangible benefits to companies. Thanks to them, it is possible to validate the interoperability, security, and scalability of the system in real environments, ensuring that the solution addresses the needs of the Galician industrial sector.

Strategic Objectives

Beyond addressing specific challenges in these use cases, INDAGA pursues broader goals for Galicia’s industrial ecosystem:

  • Regional and European cohesion: Align with Gaia-X to position Galicia as a leader in digital sovereignty.
  • Sustainable development: Leverage data spaces to minimize environmental impact through more efficient resource management.
  • Economic growth: Build a collaborative ecosystem that boosts competitiveness and opens new markets.
  • Digital transformation in automotive and energy: Connect manufacturers, energy providers, and technological centres to improve efficiency, enable sustainable mobility, and accelerate adoption of advanced technologies such as AI, IoT, and Industry 4.0.
