Description
Reduction of groundwater overexploitation in the Bientina aquifer (Pisa, Italy) and its sensitivity to pollution, thus contributing to the objectives of the LIFE programme and the Göteborg and Lisbon strategies. The objective was to improve the conditions of the aquifer by monitoring the consumption networks, carrying out pressure regulation and controlling water losses. The techniques and tools developed and used in the project are likely to be transferred by ITG in Galicia.
