ENERWOOD
Industrial research for the evaluation of innovative and sustainable energy models through the digitalization of processes in the wood industry

Description
ENERWOOD aims to investigate the energy models of the wood industry to increase energy efficiency, in line with energy, climate and industry policies at European and national levels.
To do so, it will use THD technologies, such as process automation and AI, through the application of sensors, IoT and innovative data capture and processing systems such as artificial vision and photonics. At the same time, it will analyze consumption to optimize the efficient use of energy, reinforcing the integration of the European energy market through the digitization of data and making it available for integration into digital networks.
Digital tools will be developed to analyze energy consumption and optimize its use in the wood manufacturing process, in accordance with the Industrial Plan of the European Green Deal. In parallel, digitalization will be used as a lever to achieve a more competitive industry, in line with the Industry 4.0 Strategy of the Government of Spain.
