Sectors Industry 4.0
Execution Period 2023 - 2026
Funding Galician Innovation Agency of the Xunta de Galicia and has financing from the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) within the framework of the Galicia ERDF 2021-2027 Program

Description

The objective of FACENDO+ is to improve the competitiveness of the automotive industry through innovation in electromobility and digital transformation, through improving the energy efficiency and sustainability of the STELLANTIS production process through research into new technologies that help to meet corporate decarbonization objective.

The activities to be carried out are:

  • Circular Economy: Improving the efficiency of recovery systems for very low temperature heat recovery (<50ºC) and the development of a methodology based on AI algorithms for the evaluation of the best alternatives for heat recovery in industrial environments.
  • Decarbonisation:
    • Evaluation of different methods for modeling thermal comfort and analysis of the automation process to obtain the fluid-dynamic behavior of interior work areas in vehicle manufacturing lines.
    • Research of various Artificial Intelligence algorithms to develop an operational control system for asynchronous motors with which to minimize their energy consumption under different boundary conditions.
  • Green energies: Research into new technologies for the production of energy from renewable sources based on the conversion of low and medium frequency noise into electricity, which allow reducing the environmental impact of the manufacture of motor vehicles, guaranteeing acoustic comfort and productivity of workers.
