Description

The main objective of the AEROGANP project is to promote research in the Galicia-North Portugal Euroregion in a strategic technological sector such as aerospace, through the creation of a network to promote its capacity to generate and transfer R+D+i through the interrelation between all public and private agents. The main objectives are:

– The creation of a cross-border cooperation network in the Euroregion that includes the main actors with an interest in the space sector, generating a map of capacities and synergies that will last and expand over time.

– The implementation of a demonstrator that acts on both sides of the border and serves to facilitate the transfer of aerospace technology to society.

– Through the network and the demonstrator described above, contribute significantly to the development and improvement of aerospace research, innovation and technology transfer capabilities to the productive sector.

The synergies generated with the proposed cooperation will be materialised through the creation of a demonstrator that will operate with two complementary parts: one dedicated to big-data and satellite tracking in Guimarães (pt) for the reception and analysis of both spatial and aerial data and the other at the CIAR in Rozas (Galicia) where several demonstration pilots of various advanced drone technologies, jointly manufactured on both sides of the border, will produce data to be analysed at the Portuguese centre.
