The main mission of the Instituto Tecnológico de Galicia (ITG) is to offer quality services with high added value in R&D&I, efficiently and effectively developing all its activities, including the management and execution of research, technological development and innovation projects. The main focus of its existence is the satisfaction of its stakeholders, so that the rule of doing things right the first time is an objective of ITG.
For this reason, the General Management together with all the workers involved in the provision of services and management of R&D&I projects, aware of the importance of Quality, Research, Technological Development and Innovation, has decided to implement a Quality and R&D&I Management System that meets the needs of the interested parties. - To implement continuous improvement as a standard of conduct, with its corresponding review and control.
- Encourage teamwork and staff creativity, with the freedom to contribute new R&D&I concepts.
- To promote and encourage the development of R&D&I activities.
- To protect and exploit the results of R&D&I activities, in order to maintain and improve market position and competitiveness.
- Incorporate the best human resources and promote continuous training, in order to increase the quality of services and generate the necessary knowledge for their execution.
- To provide the necessary financial resources for R&D&I activities.
- To ensure the confidentiality and security of all activities and services provided.
- Identify and manage risks and opportunities arising in the environment.
- Incorporate Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) relevant to the Centre’s activities.

The effectiveness and application of the ITG’s Quality Management and R&D&I System is the direct responsibility of its General Management. There is also a Quality and R&D&I Committee headed by the same, which will supervise the implementation, development and maintenance of the System, evaluating its suitability and correct application, with sufficient authority to intervene in the company as deemed appropriate, to check the implementation of the System, identifying problems, verifying its effectiveness and coordinating the activities with influence on the quality of the services.
Everyone in the organisation is obliged to strictly comply with the aforementioned principles.
The ITG Management undertakes to develop the guidelines for Quality and R&D&I set out in the Manual.
