The ambition of this project is to develop an innovative solution based on Artificial Intelligence (AI), specifically Computer Vision, to automate the identification and biometric verification of individuals through facial images. The application is aimed at the tourism sector, enabling the optimization and streamlining of processes such as hotel check-in and other services linked to travel plans or tourism programs.
Project Objectives
- Secure and efficient automation: Design a biometric identity verification system based on facial analysis that is accurate, fast, and secure, eliminating the need for manual identification processes within the tourism sector.
- Fraud prevention and authenticity assurance: Incorporate mechanisms to detect fraud attempts, ensuring that verification is performed with a real person and not with images, manipulated videos, or AI-generated content (deepfakes).
- Simplified user experience: Minimize user intervention by avoiding manual data entry or requiring gestures and movements for liveness tests, offering a smooth and frictionless process.
- Validation in real-world environments: Evaluate the system with a representative set of identity documents and diverse profiles, ensuring robustness against variability in gender, age, and ethnicity.
