TROYAN DRONES
AI for autonomy and decision-making in autonomous marine systems

Description
This ambitious project focused on creating an Artificial Intelligence (AI) prototype aimed at enhancing autonomy and real-time decision-making capabilities in autonomous marine systems. The main objective was to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of unmanned vehicles in marine environments, facing changing and challenging conditions.
To achieve this, a set of advanced sensors was integrated, including two LIDAR devices strategically positioned at the bow and stern of the drones, along with a camera designed to identify specific vessel patterns. These sensors enabled highly accurate capture and analysis of the marine environment, facilitating object detection, pattern identification, and risk assessment.
AI plays a key role by processing the data captured by the sensors and making instant decisions. This combination of advanced hardware and intelligent algorithms allows for real-time mission programming and dynamic adaptation to complex marine situations.
This project validated key technologies for autonomous navigation in marine environments, paving the way for safer, more efficient, and adaptable solutions for applications in research, logistics, and maritime operations.
