Description

Development of a low-cost, real-time soil nutrient monitoring system for better soil fertilisation management. The monitoring system will consist of a portable sensor based on electroconductivity, which measures the nutrients available to the plant. It will incorporate a battery and a bluetooth communications module to pair with the farmer’s mobile phone and create tailor-made fertilisation plans based on the real needs of the soil and the crop.
